The MVA Aussie Kickoff Party launched the Most Valuable Australian (MVA) Awards, an awards ceremony which will celebrate the success of Australian athletes based in the United States. Aussie are famous in the US for two main things; our sporting success and our ability to have a good time. The MVA Awards will bring together these two elements as we celebrate Australian sporting achievements and grant these athletes deserved recognition.
The MVA’s, the brainchild of Corey McKernan, will feature awards ranging from standout single performance of the year, best up-and-coming Australian and the premium award, Most Valuable Australian.
At the MVA Aussie Kickoff Party, there was an exclusive pre-party appearance by the original Girls Next Door, Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson. This was the first time that the trio have appeared in public together since they left the Playboy Mansion and the reality television show in late 2008, and they were an absolute hit amongs the throng of partygoers.
The group partied the afternoon away to the beats of Australia’s number 1 DJ, Havana Brown. This sexy Australian DJ has worked with the likes of Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Britney Spears, Enrique Iglesias and the Pussycat Dolls and DJ’d at Tao Beach and Chateau nightclub in Las Vegas. She was also the guest DJ at the 2010 official Grammy Awards after party.
ESPN Aussies Abroad host Jason Bennett proved a very popular guest, as did Aussie superstar NFL punter Mat McBriar. For more photos from the MVAs, check out our Facebook page.
